The Most far reaching changes in the Japanese Judicial System since the end of world word is the the involvement of the public to adjudicate trials and deciding on the appropriate punishments for offenders. Passed by the Diet in 2004, one of the Judicial Reform Law will put ordinary members to be among the panels of professional judges.
